What is wrong with giving someone new a chance on the city council? Certainly the current and past councils have gotten us into the mess we are in and now it is time for someone new like Amy Walen. I admit that I am a big supporter of Amy Walen but only after spending several hours with her and learning her thoughts and ideas for and about Kirkland.

Why she is the brunt of all this animosity is beyond me. Maybe Ms. Rising and others who think like her should take the time to sit down to talk “with” Amy before they judge her. I think they would be very surprised at what a wise and educated young woman she is and that can never be bad for Kirkland.
