I-405 reduced to one lane in Kirkland overnight

Nighttime drivers on Interstate 405 in Kirkland should plan for possible delays overnight Nov. 1.

Nighttime drivers on Interstate 405 in Kirkland should plan for possible delays overnight Nov. 1. Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation plan to reduce the roadway to a single lane and close nearby ramps to complete restriping work for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.

Saturday, Nov. 1 to the morning of Sunday, Nov. 2

  • Up to four lanes of northbound I-405 between Northeast 85th Street and Northeast 124th will close starting at 7 p.m. Two lanes will close at 7:30 p.m., three lanes will close at 11 p.m., and four lanes will close at 1 a.m. One lane will open by 8 a.m., two lanes will open by 9 a.m., three lanes will open by 11 a.m., and all lanes will reopen by noon Sunday.
  • The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 128th Street will close from midnight to 7 a.m.
  • The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 124th Street/Totem Lake Boulevard will close from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
