Kirkland cat lovers beware | Letter

Our beloved cat of 18-plus years was taken from us by a coyote. We live in the south Rose Hill area of Kirkland and in broad daylight a coyote took our cats life away from us. I happened to look out the window and saw a coyote with a cat in his mouth – little did I know it was our cat. Thankfully my husband was able to chase the coyote down and he dropped our beloved cat. But it was too late – he was gone. Our cat rarely left our yard – that’s where he was attacked. Saddest day of my life! I don’t want judgement on allowing my cat to be an indoor/outdoor cat. I grew up with several indoor/outdoor cats that lived 20-plus years. I just want people to be aware. Even though we are in the ‘city,’ there are still predators out there.
