The City of Kirkland will host a community workshop at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Finn Hill Junior High School as an opportunity for residents to give feedback about the process that will lead to the successful siting of a fire station in the Finn Hill neighborhood.
Community members are encouraged to attend to learn why Kirkland is undergoing this study, learn about the history of fire and emergency medical services on Finn Hill including recent changes, and provide input on what will make the city’s study successful.
The City Manager, city Fire and Capital Improvement Program representatives, as well as the city’s architectural planning firm will be present to hear and incorporate community input into the process before the study begins.
Ideas can be submitted online at www.kirklandwa.gov/finnhillstation and will be shared with the city’s Project Team.
Finn Hill Junior High School is located at 8040 N.E. 132nd St., Kirkland; the workshop will be held in the cafeteria.
