Google in Kirkland will host the Eastside Race and Leadership Coalition on May 21 for a forum on diversity. The free event will be held from 6-8 p.m. and will help to celebrate Asian Pacific Islanders (API) Heritage Month.

Washington Supreme Court Justice Mary Yu will share her perspective on why it is critical for more APIs to take on positions of leadership. Hear about opportunities for leadership development in the community, business, professional and political spheres – and how to get involved.

The Eastside Race and Leadership Coalition is a grassroots group that is focused on equity and leadership issues facing the growing diversity on the Eastside. The group’s objective has been to develop an action plan to support current work and also encourage future efforts that are needed to support the diverse API community and to make sure every voice is represented.

The Kirkland Google campus is located at 747 6th St S in Kirkland.
