I moved to the Kirkland area a few years ago after living in Olympia all my life. I sold plants from our family garden nursery at the old Farmers Market for many years. It was very surprising to me as I walked through the Kirkland Wednesday Market to see all the dogs being led through the market area during sales time. I would think that with the produce, baked goods, etc., it would be a health issue. In Olympia, no dogs other than service were allowed in the market area. Kirkland is an animal lover’s town, but where food is being served or sold draws the line for me. No dogs in the market please!
