The Lake Washington girls earned two more league victories in the last week, beating Liberty and Bellevue.
Last Wednesday the Lady Kangs beat Liberty 44-39.
Despite being down 21-13 at the half, the Lady Kangs rallied with a 16 point third quarter, while holding Liberty to eight points for a 29-29 game going into the last quarter. Lake Washington scored 15 in the fourth, keeping the Patriots to 10 to take the win.
Kat Whitfield had a big 15 points for the team, while Hunter Hopkins posted a 10 point game. Whitney Dunlap added eight to the point total, followed by Taylor Solomon’s seven points and Melissa Wilson had four.
The following Friday the team beat Bellevue 45-41.
Hopkins had a 21 point game for the Kangs on Friday night, with Whitfield putting up 12 points for the team. Solomon added six, with Dunlap’s four and Jessica Washington’s two.
