Engaged couples and all others who are interested in learning about local wedding resources are invited to attend the “Eastside Wedding Show.”

Engaged couples and all others who are interested in learning about local wedding resources are invited to attend the “Eastside Wedding Show.” This event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Hollywood Schoolhouse, located at 14810 N.E. 145th Street in Woodinville.

A few of the exhibitors from Kirkland that will be featured include: Event Source Northwest, Totem Travel, and Exclusive Image Event Planning. Admission and parking are free.

The first 50 brides through the door will receive a complimentary tote/gift bag. The first 200 brides will receive a copy of Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom Magazine. Show attendees will also have the opportunity to enter multiple raffle drawings to win incredible prizes from the participating exhibitors.

“We have created this special event to highlight the products and services of the wedding vendors, businesses, and facilities in the area,” says Kim Berg-Dunlap, event coordinator. “Having recently gotten married myself, I attended a number of the major wedding expos when I was planning my own wedding. I noticed that at the larger shows, it was quite easy to feel overwhelmed by the vast number of different wedding vendors. One of the reasons we developed the concept for the Eastside Wedding Show was so that brides and grooms would have the opportunity to personally connect with the vendors, so as to get a better idea of which ones would be a good match for their unique needs and style. Another one of the great benefits of our show is the fact that we are offering free admission to the public, whereas most of the other wedding expos charge. With so many people being careful about their finances in today’s economy, we wanted to create a welcoming atmosphere in which engaged couples could invite their wedding party and family members to the event without having to worry about the cost to attend.”

The event staff expects to feature 40-50 exhibitors at this year’s show. The following types of exhibitors will be on hand to provide information about their products and services: bridal gown boutiques, men’s formalwear stores, ceremony/reception venues, florists, photographers, videographers, bakeries, DJs, wedding planners, invitation companies, musicians, wineries, honeymoon travel agencies, jewelry companies, wedding officiants, and more.
