Juanita Softball: Sparks gives up just one run during complete-game win against Inglemoor

The Juanita High School softball team took on Inglemoor Friday and runs were at a premium. The two teams showed dazzling defense through a scoreless first four innings of play as Juanita's Kylie Sparks dominated Viking hitters.

The two teams showed dazzling defense through a scoreless first four innings of play as Juanita’s Kylie Sparks dominated Viking hitters.

Inglemoor got on the board first, scoring a run to take the lead during the top of the fifth inning. But Juanita came back strong with four runs during the bottom of the inning, including a two-run single by Rachel O’Neill.

Juanita’s Aliah Sweere had two hits and an RBI, while Keana Miller added a hit and an RBI during the fifth inning.

Sparks gave up one run, on one hit, striking out four and walking just two, during the complete-game victory.

Juanita will travel to Inglemoor today at 4:30 p.m. and host on Lake Washington Monday at 4:30 p.m.
