During the games, Jade Finau had 11 aces, with three kills. Teammate Theresa Laufasa had four aces and Dana Michels had one.

On Monday, Sept. 12 the Rebels faced tough opponent Mercer Island, going down 3-1. Juanita started with a strong game one, winning 26-24, but fell 25-19, 25-12 and 25-15 in the final three games of the evening.

Michels had 17 kills and 11 digs during the match, while Laufasa put up seven kills and eight digs. Finau added 26 assists to her stat list.

The Rebels will play against Mount Si on Monday, Sept. 19, while Lake Washington hosts Liberty the same night. Matches begin at 7 p.m.

Lake Washington lost their first game of the season on Wednesday evening.

The Kangs, facing off against non-league opponent Skyline, fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-18).

The next day the team fell 3-1 to Mercer Island. The Kangs lost the first match 25-17, won the second 25-21 before dropping the final two 25-10 and 25-13.

During the matches Jessica Lund had seven kills, while Maddy Warnick had 10 digs for her team.

Lake Washington lost it’s first KingCo match of the regular season on Monday evening, going down 3-0 to Interlake.

The Kangs lost the first match in a close 26-24 battle, and fell in game two 25-14, and 25-19 in the third game.
