During the second week of October, the northbound vehicle lane on Third Street is scheduled to switch to the east side of the street. By that time, the east half of Third Street will have all-new concrete pavement and all-new concrete sidewalk. At that time, the sidewalk on the west side of Third Street will be closed for reconstruction, and all north-south pedestrian traffic will be routed to the east side of the street.

The Kirkland Transit Center is scheduled for completion in January 2011. Bus service will be restored to the transit center soon thereafter.
