The Kirkland Chamber of Commerce voted unanimously at its monthly luncheon Tuesday to complete the merger with the Kirkland Downtown Association (KDA).
Forty-one chamber members voted in favor of the major changes to the organization’s by-laws. As a result of the merger, the KDA will no longer have members but will remain as a separate entity to advance the interests of businesses in downtown Kirkland. The two groups will share a board of directors comprised of 15 members, with five having clear interest in advancing downtown business interests.
