The snow began to fall Saturday night and will continue off-and-on through Wednesday evening. Mother Nature is expected to bring the most snow Tuesday night and most of the day Wednesday before finally beginning to warm up Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service has declaired a “Snow Storm Watch.”

Monday will see a 70-percent chance of precipitation with scattered snowshowers. Expect less than an inch of accumulation. Monday’s high is expected to be near 36 degrees with wind between 8-15 mph. The Lake Washington School District is closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

The high on Tuesday is expected to be 37 degrees with a calm wind between 5 and 8 mph. The chance for snow is 80 percent, with accumulations between 1-to-2 inches according to the National Weather Service.

Snow showers will pick up Tuesday evening, with a low of 28 degrees, and continuing throughout Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service there could be between 2-to-4 inches of snow on Wednesday, with a 100-percent chance of precipitation. The high temperature on Wednesday is expected to be 36 degrees. Snow is expected to turn to rain by 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
