A Kirkland woman who claimed magician David Copperfield raped her – and was later charged with soliciting a business man for sex at a Bellevue hotel – dropped her federal lawsuit against the world-famous illusionist Tuesday.

Attorneys for the 2010 Miss Washington USA runner-up, Lacey Caroll, announced her decision in a news release Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Carroll, 23, claimed that she met Copperfield in Eastern Washington and the 53-year-old man invited her to his private island in the Bahamas and raped her in 2007.

Carroll was charged with prostitution and lying to police in January, after she allegedly solicited $2,000 from a business man for sex at a Bellevue hotel. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
