The Lake Washington High School gymnastics team sent five athletes to compete at the state meet over the weekend after a season that included the 2A/3A KingCo title.
The highest placing Kang was Joeli Pence, who tied for 18th on floor with a score of 9.225. Pence also finished 29th overall on vault (7.775) and competed on bars.
Nadia Popovici competed on bars and vault and tied for 24th on floor with a score of 9.125.
Other Lake Washington High School students who competed at the meet included Brittany Blaskovich, Brittany McCormick and Megan Phillips.
