Massage Envy in Kirkland is thanking active-duty military, veterans and their spouses on Veterans Day by offering 50 free massages.
Massage Envy Kirkland is located at 11620 97th Lane N.E. For information, call (425) 284-4284.
The Kirkland business will join other Puget Sound-area centers in saluting our military on Veterans Day. In total, the national franchise will offer 500 free massages.
The effort is part of Massage for the Military on Veterans Day – a new holiday season initiative by Massage Envy and USO Puget Sound Area to provide stress-relief massages for active-service military.
Beyond the Veterans Day event, Massage Envy owners have donated an additional 250 one-hour massage session gift certificates to USO Puget Sound Area, which will distribute the certificates to deserving local active-service military families from all five service branches.
“The response to the Veterans Day offer has been overwhelming,” said Barney Nelson, regional developer for Massage Envy in Washington State. “Our owners began to explore ways with USO Puget Sound Area to extend our support of our military.”
“We believe caring for our local military service members and their families is a privilege and civic duty we take seriously,” said Don Leingang, USO Puget Sound Area executive director and commander, US Navy (retired). “We are thrilled to announce this new partnership with Massage Envy and we thank them for stepping up to help support our local military community.”
Massage Envy and USO Puget Sound Area are exploring additional opportunities to work together during the holiday season.
Massage Envy’s health and wellness initiative focuses on the physical and emotional benefits of therapeutic massage. Studies cite alleviation of stress, improved sleep and an overall sense of physical and emotional well-being among the many positive benefits.
In addition to the Veterans Day event and support of USO Puget Sound Area programs, Massage Envy centers nationwide offer a Military Discount Program to all active-duty military personnel.
