Lake Washington basketball player and senior, Darien Nelson-Henry has committed to play basketball for the University of Pennsylvania.

Lake Washington basketball player and senior, Darien Nelson-Henry has committed to play basketball for the University of Pennsylvania.

The 6 foot 10 inch center, verbally committed to the division I school at the end of September.

Pennsylvania is coached by Jerome Allen, who played in the NBA, and for the Quakers at Penn. This is his second year as head coach.

Last season the Quakers, playing in the Ivy League Division, finished with a 7-7 league record and were 13-15 overall, for a fourth place league finish.

This past winter Nelson-Henry helped the Kangs to the district tournament, where they lost to Rainier Beach, ending the season with a 15-11 record.
