A main intersection on the Kirkland and Redmond boundary that was partially closed due to a major accident earlier today has been re-opened to traffic.

The Kirkland Police Department released a statement at 4:15 p.m. today to announce that the intersection at Northeast 124th Street and Willows Road was once again fully open to traffic just in time for the evening commute.

“The signal light pole emergency replacement has been completed and traffic flow is returned to normal,” said Kirkland Police Lt. John Haslip.

The intersection was partially closed most of the day to a utility pole being damaged.
