Rebels fight back after loss to top team Mount Si | Prep volleyball

Facing the No. 1 team in the league last week, Juanita fell to Mount Si 3-0 (25-14, 25-15 and 25-19) on Wednesday, Oct. 13. Natalie Marrs had five kills while Dana Michels had nine kills and 15 digs. Jade Finau had five digs and a block along with her 18 assists.

The team returned to their winning ways at home, sweeping Liberty 3-0 (25-8, 25-19, 25-23) last Monday. Finau set up 26 assists along with five kills. Dana Michels had 16 kills and Candace Cromer served six aces and had nine defensive digs.

The Rebels finish out the regular season at home against Lake Washington next Monday. The team is sitting solidly in second place with a 9-3 record. The post season begins next Friday with the KingCo league tournament at Sammamish High School.

Lake Washington picks up win over Liberty, falls to Bellevue

The Lake Washington volleyball team earned their third win of the season, beating Liberty Wednesday, Oct. 13 in a five game marathon. The 3-2 (25-15, 18-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-12) win pushed the team to a 3-10 overall record following a loss to Bellevue on Monday, Oct. 18.

During the win over the Patriots Dana Hasert had five kills and four blocks, while teammate Emina Dodic earned 13 kills. Eleanor Lyon had five blocks, as did Maddie Lind for the Kangs.

This past Monday the team lost to Bellevue 3-0 (25-21, 27-25, 25-14) in a hard fought match. The team will travel to Juanita Monday, Oct. 25 for the last game of the regular season.
