Last fall, Kirkland community members shared their thoughts with the Kirkland Cultural Council on how art, culture and heritage can enhance quality of life and Kirkland’s economy and tourism. Their beliefs and visions have been integrated into a draft strategic plan that is being presented for public comment on April 30, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Kirkland Woman’s Club, 407 First Street, Kirkland. The Plan identifies short-, mid- and long-term goals that will allow the City to phase in new initiatives.

The Plan also recommends financing strategies that will not unduly burden the City’s budget. For more information, contact Ellen Miller-Wolfe, Economic Development Manager, City of Kirkland, at 425-587-3014 or emwolfe@ci.kirkland.wa.us.
