The Kirkland Rustlers 12U baseball team recently returned from Canada where they won the 12U Can-Am Classic baseball tournament in Oliver, B.C.

This was the Rustlers’ second trip to this tournament (they finished in third place in 2007) and included teams from such places as Calgary, Alberta; White Rock, B.C., and Penticton B.C.

This year, the Rustlers beat the BLE Reds from the tournament home of Oliver, B.C. 6-1 to win the championship.

The Rustlers also swept all of the tournament skill drill contests: base running, home run derby and team relay throw.
