The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Kirkland Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Kirkland Reporter police blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kirkland, which average about 1,000 per week.
Between Nov. 6-12, there were 200 traffic incidents, 29 traffic accidents, four DUIs, 36 general traffic incidents, 38 alarm calls, nine abandoned vehicles, five burglaries, eight incidents of fraud, 17 civil incidents, cases of three harassment, 11 thefts, 19 vehicle prowls, one vehicle theft, 23 warrants served, nine noise complaints, three animal calls, six incidents of domestic violence, seven incidents of malicious mischief, 14 disturbances, one trespass, one sex offense, two assaults, four hit and runs and 30 incidents involving at least one arrest.
Nov. 12
Warrant: 1:54 a.m., 12000 block of NE 128th St. A 48-year-old man was causing a disturbance at EvergreenHealth hospital after being discharged. He was arrested for his criminal trespassing warrant from the Bothell Police Department. He was transported to the Brickyard Park and Ride and released to the Bothell PD.
Nov. 10
Tresspass: 5:58 p.m., unknown address. A 23-year-old man entered into real estate offices located. He was told by staff members to leave the building and that he was not welcome there. He left but then returned half an hour later and locked himself in the office bathroom. He was arrested for trespass and was found to be in possession of a heroin needle.
Nov. 9
Drugs: 9:40 a.m., 12000 block of 124th Ave. NE. A 43-year-old woman provided a forged prescription. It was confirmed with the doctor that the prescription was forged. The female was arrested for forgery.
Nov. 8
Warrant: 2:27 p.m., 12200 block of NE 124th St. A 34-year-old man was contacted at Quality Inn after he was found by staff trespassing. He was arrested on his warrant out of Fife without incident.
Nov. 6
Warrant: 10:30 p.m., 10200 block of NE 129th Ln. A 25-year-old man was arrested for assault after he bit his 19-year-old girlfriend on the left cheek when she would not take him to the store to get more alcohol. He had a .325 blood alcohol content and had to be taken to EvergreenHealth until his alcohol level became a more reasonable level.
