Under federal law, marijuana is classified as a Schedule 1 drug, meaning it has no medical value and lacks any safe level of use; Washington State, among others, allows for medical marijuana; nobody has ever died from a marijuana overdose, whether illicit or prescribed; federal law allows Marinol, a pharmaceutical product that is available through prescription and is a synthetic (chemically manufactured) version of THC, the natural, God-blessed element in marijuana.
Sadly, Big Pharma, the DEA, prison builders, violent gangs and others profit by keeping marijuana illegal, yet there is more available today than ever before. How many must die and how many lives must be ruined before this absurd prohibition is lifted? No doubt many more.
