The Lake Washington High girls soccer team still has a shot at the state championship tournament, despite a gut-wrenching loss to Bellevue in the KingCo title match on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Bellevue High School.
Bellevue’s Kiley Suter scored early in the second golden-goal period to win the conference title for Bellevue.
The Kangs drop to the second-place match against Mercer Island, scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Mac Field. The winner moves on to the state tournament.
Lake Washington beat Mercer Island 1-0 on Oct. 4, and 2-0 on Oct. 26.
