Support seaplanes at Carillon Point in Kirkland | Letter

This is a letter of support for seaplane operations out of Carillon Point. There is no evidence that there would be any negative impact over the existing uses that are currently allowed all along the Kirkland waterfront from Juanita to Carillon Point.

We currently see all manner of activities from power boats, water skiing, jet skiing, Argosy and Waterway cruises, Geico banner towing etc…

The cities of Renton, Kenmore, Lake Union and many others in the region all support and promote seaplane activity that satisfactorily co-exist with myriads of other marine and recreational activities. A seaplane at Carillon Point would further Kirkland’s mission and goals of promoting tourism, retail and recreational activities that fulfill the social needs of the local area.

Prior to public notice there had been no negative opinions of the operation. The vast majority of people in Kirkland would be in favor of this activity and it would promote Carillon Point and Kirkland as a destination resort area.
