Juanita seniors Adrian Goodwin and Michael Gengo finished in the top 19 at the Class 3A/2A KingCo Cross Country championships on Thursday, Oct. 20 at Lake Sammamish Park in Issaquah.

Both Rebels qualified for the Class 3A, District II championships by finishing in the top 21 among Class 3A competitors. The district championships are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 27 at Woodland Park in Seattle.

Lake Washington sophomore John Hentges finished 25th overall, but 21st among 3A runners to qualify for districts.

The Interlake boys won the conference title. Juanita finished fifth, and Lake Washington finished seventh.

The Lake Washington girls finished second among 3A teams, qualifying for the district championships as a group. Sophomore Aase Fogarty led the Kangs with a 10th-place finish.

Juanita senior Sydney Retzlaf led the Rebels, finishing 44th. Juanita finished seventh as a team. Redmond won the girls’ team title.
