Residents are invited to a community workshop to discuss preferred design improvements to the 6th Street Corridor and future land use and zoning regulations of the Houghton/Everest Neighborhood Center from 6-9 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Northwest University. A presentation will be given on survey findings and research conducted to-date, and attendees will have the opportunity to share their opinions in both large and small group settings.
“Public participation at the workshop will ensure that the community’s interests and needs are being heard,” said Angela Ruggeri, senior planner. “The more input we receive from residents, the more we can incorporate community preference into the final plan.”
The open house will begin in room 231 of the Health and Science building at Northwest University with staff and City’s consultants available to answer questions. A working session will begin immediately after and will end at 9 p.m. A light dinner will be served.
Northwest University is located at 5520 108th Ave. N.E in Kirkland. The Health and Science building is labeled No. 18 on Northwest University’s campus map.
The City also asks that residents who have not already participated in the project’s online survey due so by October 28. The survey can be found at www.kirklandwa.gov/HE6th. Project updates can be found on the City website or those interested may sign up for email updates here.
