The Juanita High softball team eclipsed the 20-run mark for the second time this season, hanging a 21-o loss on Bellevue in KingCo League action on Monday, April 18.

The Juanita High softball team eclipsed the 20-run mark for the second time this season, hanging a 21-o loss on Bellevue in KingCo League action on Monday, April 18.

The Rebels (8-5 overall, 8-3) scored 12 runs in the first inning. Bellevue walked five of the first six batters, made an error on a ground ball at second base and allowed a score when Eden Radke was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Bellevue (4-6, 4-5) allowed 11 hits and made only two errors, but walked 18 Rebel batters in total, and gave up 17 earned runs.

Jordan Schroeder had a big day, going 4-5 from the plate with three RBIs. Radke also had three RBIs, and was 1-2 from the plate with four walks. Briar Swayne and Abby Anthis also had four walks.

Megan Murray got the start and the win for the Rebels, going three innings with one hit and two strikeouts. Lisa Nelson closed out the final two innings, also with one hit and one strikeout.

Next, Juanita is scheduled to play Mercer Island at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 at Juanita High School.
