The Northwest University volleyball team is attracting the attention of the NAIA and coaches around the country as they were voted No. 20 in the nation this week in the Top 25 poll.

They jumped ahead of No. 24 Corban, who they face this Saturday at home, while their win over the College of Idaho on Saturday knocked the Yotes out of the Top 25 (No. 12) to the received votes category in the No. 26 spot. Northwest U had previously received votes for the Top 25, but this is the first Top 25 ranking for the team since coach Steven Bain took over the program and since the 2004 season.

The Eagles are in sole possession of second place in the Cascade Conference, one game behind Eastern Oregon who is ranked No. 6 again in this week’s Top 25 poll.

Corban, Warner Pacific and Southern Oregon are tied for third in the CCC with 4-2.
