The Lake Washington High girls soccer team bowed out of the conference playoffs with a 2-1 loss to Mercer Island on Tuesday at Mac Field in Kirkland.

The Kangs scored first, on a corner kick in the first half. Mercer Island equalized on a penalty kick and scored just before halftime to take a 2-1 lead.

It was the final match for Lake Washington seniors Natalie Vetto, Lexi Enstrom, Isabel Ashbacher, Kaitlin Holldorf and captain Megan Lynch.

Lake Washington finished the year 11-6-1, and finished second in the conference standings.
