The Juanita High girls swim and dive team finished seventh at the Class 3A Sea-King District II championships on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Mary Wayte Pool on Mercer Island.
The Juanita 200 freestyle relay team swam a state-qualifying time to place fourth overall in 1:43.58. Victoria Truswell, Wing Yung Au, Maja Evans and Tova Andersson participated in the relay.
The Juanita 400 freestyle relay, made up of Evans, Andersson, Truswel and Samantha Haong, finished fifth in 3:43.31. The Juanita 200 medley relay team qualified for state earlier this season.
Andersson narrowly missed a state-qualifying time in the 500 freestyle, finishing just over a second too slow.
Wing Yung also swam a state-qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke, and will also swim the 200 individual medley at state Truswell finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke and will also swim the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle at state.
The Lake Washington team finished 11th.
Lake Washington freshman Katie Cross qualified for the state championships with a fifth-place finish in the 100 yard freestyle. Cross also qualified in the 100 backstroke, finishing third.
Lake Washington freshman Audrey Arnold finished seventh in the one-meter dive with 314.3 points.
