State Patrol seeks information on fatality hit and run collision on I-405 in Renton

Detectives with the Washington State Patrol are looking for witnesses or any information from a hit and run collision that occurred at 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 27 on I-405/Cedar St. in Renton.

Detectives with the Washington State Patrol are looking for witnesses or any information from a hit and run collision that occurred at 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 27 on I-405/Cedar St. in Renton.

The passenger of the victim vehicle, a dark colored Buick LeSabre, died of her injuries a few days after the collision.

Troopers believe that the Buick LeSabre was traveling southbound at 60 mph when it was struck in the rear by the suspect vehicle, described as a red colored “sports car.”  The suspect vehicle may possibly be similar to a Subaru BRZ or Nissan 350 Z.

The suspect vehicle was witnessed as driving “erratically” prior to the collision. It is also believed that the suspect vehicle may have initially stopped after the collision but then fled the scene. There should be substantial front-end damage to the suspect vehicle.
