Northwest University’s middle blocker, Mattie Jo Johnson, has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week for the Cascade Collegiate Conference as announced by the league office on Monday.

Johnson, a 6-0 sophomore from Rosalie, Wash., helped lead the Eagle team to three straight victories this week including straight set victories over Pacific and Multnomah.

Johnson had an attack percentage of .522 for the 14 sets including a .717 percentage in the sweep over Multnomah with a team leading 11 kills.

The Eagle volleyball team is now 6-2 on the season, 2-0 in league play and in a 4-way tie for the league lead.
