The annual “For the Love of Cheese” event is back from Sept. 11 to Oct. 7, and like a strong cheddar, only gets better with age. Metropolitan Market brings these month-long festival of cheese events that will introduce and educate guests on artisan, specialty, hand-made and farmstead cheese produced locally and globally.
Attend one of the many tastings of wine, beer or cider pairing events for a multi-sensory experience with cheese; meet and talk with local and national cheesemakers; watch and sample as cheese is sculpted into art you can eat. Come by one of our culinary kiosks to try an array of artisan cheeses and pick up the “For the Love of Cheese” event schedule. There are over 20 events to choose from.

Metropolitan Market has grown to become the area’s premier independent grocer. Featuring fresh, local, organic and hard-to-find items, the award-winning market transforms everyday grocery shopping into an invigorating experience. The first grocer to introduce Copper River Salmon, locally baked artisan breads and just-picked luscious strawberries from Vashon Island to the region, Metropolitan Market continues to be the first to offer the best.
