Hopelink will hold its annual Turkey Trot fun walk to raise money for providing assistance during the holidays and beyond to low-income families in east and north King County on Sunday, Nov. 15.
The Turkey Trot proceeds help Hopelink provide emergency services for low-income families in our community during the winter months and is presented by Fred Meyer and supported by a host of other local businesses.
Registration and festivities for the 5K (three-mile) fun walk begin at noon at Marina Park, 25 Lake Ave. W. in Kirkland. The walk, round trip between Marina Park and Carillon Point, starts at 1 p.m. Participants may register online at hope-link.org.
The pre-registration fee (before Nov. 15) is $20 per person, or $15 per person for teams of four or more. Day-of-event registration is $25 per person and $20 per person for teams. Strollers and pets are free.
All pre-registered participants will receive a Hopelink Turkey Trot 2009 t-shirt. Walkers are encouraged to seek pledges, and those who collect pledges of $100 or more will be entered in a drawing for prizes.
