The Heathman Hotel was ranked as the No. 88 best hotel in the world and the No. 1 best hotel in the Pacific Northwest by Condé Nast Traveler readers. A record 46,476 readers participated in the survey for the magazine’s 25th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, rating the world’s best cities, islands, cruise lines, airlines, hotels, and resorts.
Hotels were judged on their rooms, service, food, location and design, and the Heathman Hotel Kirkland received an overall score of 94.5 out of a possible 100.
“Condé Nast Traveler readers are discerning guests,” said Troy Longwith, general manager of The Heathman Hotel in Kirkland, “and we’re honored by this award. The recognition confirms the success of our efforts to provide all our guests – whether they’re with us for a business meeting or a romantic weekend getaway – with impeccable service, state-of-the-art lifestyle amenities and an elegant but supremely comfortable environment.”
The Heathman Hotel is located within the vibrant Kirkland waterfront community, just minutes from downtown Seattle. The hotel has 91 well-appointed rooms, which Condé Nast Traveler readers rated with an average score of 97.2 out of 100. Readers also gave high marks to the hotel’s restaurant, Trellis, where executive chef Brian Scheehser fuses modern cooking techniques with local ingredients – many from his own 10-acre sustainable farm – to create a true farm-to-table dining experience.
The luxury boutique hotel recently completed a major renovation, which included an expansion of the fitness center and the addition of four new event spaces totaling 2,000 square feet. The hotel can now accommodate business meetings, conferences, receptions, banquets, social gatherings and private dinners for groups of five to 200 people.
