JHS boys golf | Rebels beat Inglemoor by just two strokes

Shooting par is pretty good for any amateur golfer. But when two players on a high school team do it, lifting their squad to a two stroke victory, par becomes pretty valuable.

The Juanita High School boys golf team narrowly defeated Inglemoor Tuesday at Inglewood Golf Course 218 stroke to 220.

The win was made possible by the Rebels’ two best golfers tying for medalist honors.

Juanita’s Colten Kleis and Michael Bell both finished the match with 37 strokes, three ahead of the next closest golfer from Inglemoor.

But the duo’s scores were the only Juanita stroke total to break the top six for the match. The Vikings’ top golfers dominated the top six for the match but their depth could not add up to a victory.
