King County Republican Party selection meeting to fill 45th District senate seat set for Saturday

The King County Republican Party, pursuant to the Washington State Constitution and the King County Republican Central Committee Bylaws, will hold a candidate selection committee meeting to fill the vacancy for the 45th Legislative District Senate seat of late Sen. Andy Hill on Saturday.

The selection committee votes to select three candidates in three separate elections, in order of preference. Members eligible to vote are precinct committee officers residing in the 45th Legislative District of King County and the elected officers of the King County Republican Central Committee.

“The appointment to fill the vacancy of the 45th Legislative District Senate seat is being taken with the utmost consideration. A final report of the committee meeting will be delivered to the King County Council by Monday, Nov. 21, 2016. The King County Republican Central Committee entrusts the King County Council to make a swift decision regarding the appointment in honor of the dedicated public servant, Senator Andy Hill,” said chair Lori Sotelo.

This meeting is closed to the public.
