Two Northwest University players earn All-American honors

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced two Northwest University players having earned 2016 NAIA Women’s Soccer All-America honors.

The NAIA All-America Committee, which consists of the NAIA-Women’s Soccer Coaches Association officers and seven additional women’s soccer coaches, select the three 11-member teams and the honorable mention teams.

Senior midfielder, Tiffany Taylor of Klamath Falls, Ore., and sophomore forward, Jubilee Zevenbergen of Lynnwood, Wash., earned honorable mention NAIA All-American honors from the NU Eagle women’s team.

Taylor’s senior leadership on the field was instrumental in the success of the team which made their way to the NAIA national semifinals as the only unranked team in the history of the tournament to do so.

Zevenbergen scored a goal and assisted on two scores in the Eagle 4-1 upset of No. 17 ranked Reinhardt of Georgia to help vault the Eagles into the semifinal game.
