The Northwest University volleyball program added two more athletes to the 2017 recruiting class on Dec. 22.
NU coach Steven Bain announced the signing of Bend High School (Ore.) hitter and libero Tatiana Ensz and Arlington High School libero Hannah Michaels.
The Eagles also announced four prep signees last week.
“The addition of [Ensz] and [Michaels] to a recruiting class that was already deep and talented bodes well for the future of NU Volleyball,” Bain said. “They will bring an added dimension to the competitive culture that we have established in our program and we are elated that these exceptional young women have decided to pursue their collegiate careers at Northwest U.”
Ensz was named the Oregon Class 5A all-state player of the year after leading Bend to a state title last fall. She is also is a four-year letter player and made the all-tournament and all-conference first-team lists. Ensz was the conference co-player of the year as a junior.
Michaels is a two-time letter player at Arlington, where she helped win the 2016 conference and district titles, earning a berth in the Washington Class 3A state tournament. Michaels was an all-conference second-team member.
