Coming into the 2016-17 season, Juanita High girls basketball standout Tea Adams had two 30-point games in her high school career.
Adams scored 32 points, including 5-of-8 from downtown, in the Rebels’ 59-39 win over Jackson in the first round of the Battle for the Cove on Dec. 28 in Kingston. It’s the third 30-point performance in eight games this season.
Adams also finished with seven steals, three assists and no turnovers.
Senior Brittany White added nine points and sophomore Jayla Kidd scored eight points in the victory for Rebels (6-2), who have won five straight.
Next, Juanita is scheduled to play Kingston in the final game of the showcase at 4 p.m. on Dec. 29.
