How disappointing to see the “Interim Trail” heading in the new ‘kite’ sign on the Cross-Kirkland-Corridor. Apparently the City of Kirkland is sticking to its vision of constructing a wide paved roadway for bus or light-rail transit on the current “interim trail”, with walking and bike paths placed alongside.

Kirklanders should note that the City’s plan will destroy the quiet green ambiance of the current trail that so many enjoy today.
