Phyllis Dieckmann was born November 27, 1926 in Oregon and passed away peacefully February 1, 2017 in Bellevue.

Phyllis leaves behind Gerhard, her devoted husband of 68 years, daughters Nancy Peterson and Laurie Slick, and son Bob, and their families. She was “ Granny “ to grandson Karl.

Phyllis attended Central University where she met Gerhard. Both graduated with teaching degrees, and lived their long and happy life together in Kirkland. She and Gerhard enjoyed traveling, making several trips to Europe. They enjoyed the Washington and Oregon beaches. Phyllis was a published poet, active in her church and Community, a woman of integrity and strong morals. She taught her family to stand up for their beliefs.

Her laughter, her smile, her sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
