Eagles defeat New Hope | College women’s basketball

Led by Jordan Asher's 23 points and seven-for-seven shooting from the three-point line, Northwest University cruised to a 93-72 victory over New Hope Christian in a non-league game tonight in the NU Pavilion on Friday.

Asher was a perfect 8 for 8 from the field and added three assists. NU shot 52 percent for the game, 59 percent in the first half to build a 54-35 halftime lead and hit 75 percent of their three-point attempts (12-16).

Jess Logan led New Hope Christian with 21 points with teammate Ellie Gould contributing 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Deacons from Eugene, Oregon. NHCC shot 31 percent for the night.

In addition to Asher’s 23, Northwest U (9-11) got 13 points from Katie Rozumny who was three-for-three from beyond the three-point arc and nine points from Kristen Frey. Sophomore Charmaine Bradford led the team in assists with five. NU out rebounded NHCC, 52-48.

The Eagles remain home and will host Walla Walla University in Cascade Conference play tonight at 6:30 p.m.
