After more than 35 years serving seniors and their families in Kirkland, Madison House Independent and Assisted Living Community is celebrating its grand re-opening from 3-6 p.m. on July 30.
“Since 1958, my family has been committed to innovation by developing and modernizing our communities to meet the current needs of seniors,” said CEO of Koelsch Senior Communities Aaron Koelsch. “As the senior housing industry grows and changes, more people are recognizing the reputation and value that Koelsch communities offer residents and families living in the Northwest. As people age, they want a variety of options, activities, healthcare and programming to choose from. They also want to know that they have the security of healthcare in place as needs change.
During the Spring of 2014, Koelsch Senior Communities, a family-owned business for over fifty five years, purchased Kirkland’s first retirement community. The company invested more than $3.5 million and is now celebrating its new interior and exterior redesign that includes modern updates to the community.”
The Madison House transformation project brings a brand new look as well as a fresh new enthusiasm for customer care and service to the Kirkland community. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy ample visitor parking and a delightful outdoor recreational area for visiting. Just inside the lobby is a remodeled reception area and plenty of comfortable places to meet loved ones for a visit.
The high ceiling dining area has a new interior designs and décor.
New interior additions include a lively café/bistro, a movie theatre with stylish chairs that incline at a touch of a button, a first class private dining room where families can celebrate meals and special occasions together, and more updated gathering spaces throughout the building where residents can socialize or find a quiet spot to relax.
“Madison House, with its incredible location across from Evergreen Hospital along with our beautiful renovations offer our Kirkland residents’ cutting edge amenities and the essential elements for a vibrant future as they age,” Koelsch. “With all the great changes we have made at Madison House, we consider it a privilege to be part of the Kirkland area and we look forward to meeting the needs of the Eastside families for many years to come.”
Madison House still features a swimming pool, jacuzzi, covered outdoor BBQ patio, garden areas, fitness room and activity spaces. Resident apartments also received fresh renovations that include full kitchens with an open concept design into the living area, air conditioning and spacious spa-like bathroom spaces all with modernized interior designs for flooring, walls and lighting.
One of the paramount changes that has taken place is the level of services now available.
Madison House has 24-hour on-site licensed nurses, A hallmark of Koelsch Senior Communities, assisted living and health care options like diabetic management, in-house therapy, and help with the tasks of daily living available for families and their loved ones, making it much easier for residents to “age in place.”
