Gordon H. Petter, Jr., 84, of Kirkland, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017. Gordy was born September 24, 1932 in Seattle, Washington.

He married S. Diane Croskery on August 1, 1964 and had 2 children, Kelly Petter Schmidt and Erik Petter (Michele). He loved his 3 grandchildren, Savannah Schmidt (21), Michael Petter (20) and Adam Petter (17).

He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 52 years, Diane, parents, Gordon and Effie, and brother Bill. He is survived by his children and grandchildren and sister Marilyn Hove (Ralph).

He was a 1950 graduate of Lincoln High School in Seattle and Joined the Navy in 1951. He was a Second Class Aviation Metalsmith and circumnavigated the globe with his crew. He worked for Boeing and various car dealerships until working for Bel-Kirk Motors in Kirkland from 1967-1991. He was a former board member of the Lake Washington Voc-Tech, member of the Kirkland Congregational Church and Past President, Secretary and Zone Chairman of the Kirkland Lions Club.

A private graveside service will take place on Saturday, July 8th.
