One day each spring for more than 10 years, John Muir Elementary School students have rushed to the soccer field to participate in the “Muir in Motion” obstacle course.
The event promotes physical fitness and fun by offering many challenges for the students to try. On June 2, students, parents and staff, including Principal Jeff DeGallier, joined in quickstepping a rope ladder, hopping over hurdles, walking and hopping through tires and running sideways, backwards and crouched in a bear crawl.
According to school secretary Gail Anderson, the students “had a blast going from station to station.”
