The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an alert regarding windy conditions associated with an approaching weather front.
South winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected from midnight Monday through 8 a.m. Tuesday as a storm from the Pacific Ocean passes over the Western Washington lowlands. The high winds pose a potential hazard of downed small trees and branches, snapping power lines. NWS forecasters say the weather system is more typical of a late fall or winter storm.
Wind gusts of up to 45 mph are possible.
