Residents pick out costumes at Kirkland’s Halloween Costume Swap | Photos

Residents tried on and walked away with free Halloween costumes and accessories at the City of Kirkland’s Halloween Costume Swap Saturday.

The city collected about 150 costumes, masks and accessories from Sept. 25-29. Then outfits and accessories were on display Saturday in the Peter Kirk Room at Kirkland City Hall from 10-11:30 a.m. for residents to try on and take home.

“It’s a really nice thing for them to do for the community,” Gauri Pandit said.

Pandit, of Sammamish, was visiting family in Kirkland when she and her children decided to swing by the costume swap.

Residents didn’t have to drop off a costume in order to pick one out Saturday.
