Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Kirkland Classic Car Show to be held Sunday, July 28 in downtown Kirkland. Road closures will occur throughout downtown.

Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Kirkland Classic Car Show to be held Sunday, July 28 in downtown Kirkland. Road closures will occur throughout downtown.

Event goers are encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool, and plan for their parking in advance. The city’s boat launch will remain open all weekend, however boaters should expect delays.

The following roads will be closed and detours in place from 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 28:

• Lake Street from Central Way to Second Avenue South

• Kirkland Avenue from the city dock to Main Street

• Park Lane from Lake Street to Main Street

• Lakeshore Plaza parking lot

• Lake Street and Central Way parking lot

The 11th Annual Kirkland Classic Car show is presented by Kirkland Downtown Association and hosted by Legends Car Club.

Emcee will host the day with raffles and games, and spectators will enjoy walking Marina Park and downtown Kirkland checking out over 500 hot rods and classic cars.

Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m. at the pavilion in 20 different classes, with five top awards, including Best Of Show.
